Achieving goals together: teamwork as the key to success.

Teamwork makes the dream work – a credo that fits in perfectly with the approach adopted at MCH Group. As anyone who has ever organised an event knows from experience, numerous cogs need to intermesh to ensure a smooth-running event. This is why Messe and Congress Center Basel has not just one but two teams to take care of organisers’ concerns.

The total of seven project managers are led by Peter Jörg who has been with MCH Group since 2000 already. The Congresses & Events Team is made up of Saskia Riat, Cassandra Koch and Benjamin Woigk, while the Trade Fairs & Exhibitions Team comprises Simone Weiss, Jasna Niederberger, Pascal Hürlimann and Robert Dach. They all possess an enormous amount of expertise and a good measure of creativity, coupled with a significant dose of motivation and flexibility. When asked what makes their job so special, they stress the close personal contact they enjoy with their customers, the fact that they can work independently, the team’s cohesion and the varied pattern of work. Jasna Niederberger explains this latter point as follows: “While the parameters always remain the same, since our venues are not constantly changing, each occasion is different, as all our contacts have their own specific needs.”

One of the highlights of the current year was the anniversary celebration for Endress+Hauser. Saskia Riat, who played a decisive role in organising the event, explains that “our team created a complete Endress + Hauser landscape on our site within a rather challenging timeframe. Our top priority was working in partnership with our customers, since only by working together can we achieve great things. I’m naturally delighted that the feedback has been so positive – and we’re confidently looking forward to what the next few months hold in store.”
