How the congress and trade fair year 2020 is set to continue.

In times such as these, daring to make announcements about upcoming events is rather like looking into a crystal ball. The MCH Group is nonetheless venturing to do this, however, since it is well prepared for the resumption of the event business, on the one hand, and a number of events have also been moved into the World Wide Web, on the other.

Since the lockdown ordered by the authorities has been used to reorganise the sales department, this outlook now includes events at Messe Basel and Messe Zürich in addition to those at the CCB. The congresses that have been definitively confirmed so far are those that are being held – at least in part – in digital form. The most important ones on Basel soil are the Annual Meeting of the German Society Society of Hematology and Medical Oncology (DGHO) and the UFI Global Congress. In Zurich, a conference with electronic aids was staged last week already – the Annual Meeting of the Swiss Society of Dermatology & Venerology.

A number of events are also taking place outside the virtual world in the last quarter, including the Blickfang international design fair. In addition, the MCH Group’s premises are being increasingly booked for parliamentary sessions and professional examinations. The latest version of the event calendar is always available to download at congress.ch/kalender and can be transferred from there to your personal Outlook calendar. In view of the difficult conditions that are still prevailing, however, this overview makes no claim to be complete but will, at best, be continuously updated.
