More room – more options

With the advent of the new year, new perspectives are opening up for customers of the CCB with the Lounge in the exhibition tower building. At the same time, registration and ticketing have been raised to a new level.

Each year, around 200 events are staged at the Congress Center Basel (CCB) from moderately-sized annual general meetings, via sociable gala dinners, through to major congresses spanning several days with more than 5000 participants. However varied these events may be: all of them require registration and ticketing solutions for their participants. Since the start of the year, the CCB has offered its customers a new access control solution which incorporates a large number of simplifications for organisers and guests alike. The administration and registration infrastructure is reduced to a minimum, while user-friendliness is maximised at the same time. Ticketing is conducted online, via any desired terminal device. Dynamic mobile tickets are offered, together with contemporary log-in and payment methods. The outlay for on-the-spot registration has been minimised and the scanners at the entrance register all possible ticket forms – whether digital or on paper. Organisers can benefit from an overall solution or may just select parts of the access control solution – which includes a control terminal with a fully integrated badge printer.

Meetings in the tower building

Not only the digital services of the CCB have been expanded for the new year but also the rooms on offer too. A generously-dimensioned, inviting lounge has been set up on the second floor of the Messe Basel tower building. The room, which is 200 square metres in size, currently offers 30 seats and has been equipped in an appealing and attractive manner, including furniture from RODA, Pulpo and Knoll.

With its informal setup and optimum accessibility – the Messe Basel car park and public transport stops are in the direct vicinity of the Messe Basel tower building – the new Lounge is ideal for small-scale customer events, an evening reception or even a breakfast meeting early in the day.
