Team Trip 2026

On 5 February 2026, the team of Messe und Congress Center Basel and Messe Zürich experienced a true change of perspective. Employees from Sales, Project Management, Marketing, Technology and Cleaning came together to spend a day as participants themselves – instead of doing what they usually do: delivering successful events for our clients. The day once again highlighted the importance of strong collaboration across all departments. Only when teams work closely together and coordinate seamlessly can successful events come to life.

The day took us to Engelberg. At the historic monastery, we immersed ourselves in the world of traditional cheesemaking, learning fascinating insights about the history of cheese while also trying our hand at making it ourselves. Tasting our own creation afterwards provided a delicious start to the day.

We then continued by gondola to Trübsee, where we enjoyed lunch together surrounded by an impressive mountain panorama. The afternoon turned more active: during the Arctic Winter Games, we competed in six teams across a variety of challenges. Whether moving together on giant skis, racing with snowshoes, solving tricky riddles or aiming snowballs into a pot – coordination, communication and team spirit were key. It was a fun and varied experience that strengthened collaboration in a playful way.

After a traditional dinner in a rustic mountain hut, the day concluded with a memorable torchlight hike through the winter landscape.

Added value beyond the day itself

A team excursion is more than just a change of scenery. Shared experiences outside the daily work routine strengthen trust, encourage cross-team exchange and create lasting connections. Especially in a dynamic event environment like ours, strong collaboration, clear communication and mutual understanding are key success factors.

Our team event clearly showed: teams that experience things together work even better together in everyday business.
