This makes it possible, for example, to host scientific congresses with an industry exhibition, networking areas, workshops and evening events at a single venue. Parallel events can also be held without any issues.

Messe and Congress Center Basel is Switzerland’s largest exhibition venue and offers one of the country’s most versatile event infrastructures. Congress Center Basel features more than 25 rooms, including a pillar-free Event Hall that can be used as a plenary hall and accommodates up to 3,000 people. The venue also comprises several exhibition halls with flexible spaces for exhibitions, congresses, corporate events and large-scale events.

Thanks to the direct connection between Congress Center Basel and Hall 1, events of all sizes can be held at a single venue.

Whether you are planning a meeting for a small group or an international large-scale event with tens of thousands of guests, Messe and Congress Center Basel offers flexible capacities across 25 breakout rooms and 141,000 m² of space, suitable for almost any event format.

Congress Center Basel is ideal for congresses with up to 5,000 participants. The adjacent halls provide generous space for trade fairs, industry exhibitions, corporate events and public events, and can be combined as required.

The permissible ceiling loads vary depending on the hall and event space. Details can be found in the relevant factsheets.

During the planning phase, the project team supports you in selecting the right hall and provides the technical specifications for rigging, stage construction and large-scale installations.

There are currently no charging facilities for electric vehicles at Messe Parking.

However, charging stations are available in nearby car parks, such as Claramatten Parking.

Sustainability is an integral part of Messe and Congress Center Basel. Together with organisers, our team develops solutions to deliver events in a resource-efficient way.

The venue offers modern technical infrastructure for events of all sizes. This includes high-performance Wi-Fi, professional audiovisual equipment, electricity, water and compressed air connections, rigging capabilities and modern conference technology.

Messe and Congress Center Basel is suitable for national and international congresses, trade and public fairs, general meetings, corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, product presentations, networking events, gala dinners and hybrid event formats.

The combination of the congress centre, exhibition halls and flexible event spaces allows events to be tailored to the individual requirements of organisers.

In addition to its indoor spaces, Messe and Congress Center Basel offers various outdoor areas, including Messeplatz and the courtyard of Hall 2, for events, reception areas or temporary installations.

Depending on the event concept, these areas can be integrated into the overall experience. Messeplatz is a public space and is rented out by the City of Basel.
