Nestled in the north of Switzerland and at the heart of Europe, Basel is renowned as a trade fair and congress city where everything is just a short distance away.

The Messe and Congress Center Basel is located right in the city center. From here, the charming Old Town, shopping streets, museums, and parks are easily accessible on foot or within a few minutes by public transport.

Travel by Tram

From Basel SBB/SNCF station, hop on tram lines 1 or 2 and reach the “Messeplatz” stop in about ten minutes. If you’re arriving at the Badischer Bahnhof, tram lines 2 or 6 will get you to Messe Basel in just two stops.

Hotel guests receive the BaselCard upon check-in, which offers free use of public transport in Basel and the surrounding area - including the EuroAirport—for the entire duration of your stay.

Travel by Car

Basel is a key intersection of Swiss, German, and French motorways. The Messe and Congress Center is directly accessible via the A2 motorway. Take the “Messe” exit, which leads straight to the Messe Basel parking garage with 1,200 spaces waiting for you.

Travel by Train

Basel is an international rail hub with direct ICE, IC, and EC connections to Germany, Austria, Italy, France, and the Benelux countries.

The Messe and Congress Center Basel is just a short five-to-ten-minute ride on public transport from all three major stations: Basel SBB (Switzerland), Basel SNCF (France), and Badischer Bahnhof (Germany).
