IFOMPT 2024
The IFOMPT 2024 conference took place at the Messe und Congress Center Basel and was a resounding success. The International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT), founded in 1974, represents specialists in manual and musculoskeletal physiotherapy worldwide who are committed to evidence-based patient care.
In June 2025, Messe and Congress Center Basel had the honour of hosting WordCamp Europe, the flagship event for the global WordPress community. As one of the largest gatherings of WordPress enthusiasts, developers, and contributors, WordCamp Europe is held in a different city each year. For the first time, the event took place in Switzerland, and we were proud to welcome it to our venue in Basel.

Under the motto ‘Building Bridges’, the three-day conference offered an inspiring programme with top-class keynote speeches and numerous specialist presentations. In addition to the interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge, valuable networking also took centre stage while the latest developments in the industry were presented.
A particular focus was placed on sustainability, inclusion and diversity to ensure an open and accessible event for all participants. The high-quality catering and the excellently organised speakers’ room were particularly praised and contributed significantly to the positive overall experience of the conference.
