BIO-Europe Spring 2023
At the end of March, we were able to host BIO-Europe Spring in Hall 1.0 for three days. As a pilot project, we worked together with the EBD Group to implement new and additional sustainable measures at a major event.

Sustainability plays a very important role for us at BIO-Europe Spring and has always been. We’ve always tried to source locally and be mindful about energy consumption and to create as less waste as possible.
The focus measure for this event was definitely catering. We tried to make offerings that are as seasonal and locally sourced as possible. We had a huge focus on plant based and vegan alternatives. We’ve only used recycable cups and a recup system that Messe and Congress Center Basel was pioloting with us.
