We are pleased to welcome four new colleagues to the teams at Messe and Congress Center Basel and Messe Zürich. They bring valuable expertise, industry experience, and fresh momentum—strengthening our locations in strategically important areas. For our partners, clients, and event organizers, this translates into added competence, quality, and proximity in collaboration. At our Zürich location, we warmly welcome Soraya da Fonseca as the new Head of Customer Management. With her broad experience in customer management, stakeholder communication, and operational leadership, she brings a wealth of expertise to our team. Most recently, Soraya worked at UEFA, where she was responsible for venue and broadcast operations at major international events—including two UEFA Europa League finals. With strong leadership skills, a structured approach, and an international mindset, Soraya will play a key role in shaping the strategic development of customer management in Zürich. Her priorities include strengthening client relationships, optimizing internal processes, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality customer experience.
Our Basel location is delighted to welcome two new team members: Larissa Dubacher joins us as Project Manager Trade Shows & Exhibitions, and Valentina Vögtlin as Project Manager Congresses & Events. Larissa brings valuable experience in event management, a solid educational background, and a strong passion for live marketing. She has recently worked on various projects in the field of event organization and is well versed in the dynamics of live events. As part of Simone Weiss’s team, she is responsible for planning and implementing customized trade show and event formats. Her role focuses on delivering high-quality client service, coordinating internal interfaces efficiently, and managing all operational processes. In her role as Project Manager Congresses & Events, Valentina strengthens the team led by Saskia Riat. She brings valuable expertise in the congress and events sector, shaped by her previous work in both national and international settings. Most recently, she served as Scientific Programme & Project Coordinator at Congrex Switzerland, where she managed complex scientific congresses with high organizational responsibility. In Basel, Valentina will focus on the comprehensive management of client projects—with a particular emphasis on project leadership, quality assurance, and client communication.
