On May 9, 2025, the city of Basel and the MesseQuartier were transformed into a lively stage for innovation, technology and team spirit: The third edition of Industrienacht Regio Basel attracted around 16,000 visitors to the city – a new milestone for the format. Particularly pleasing: over 5,000 young people took advantage of this opportunity to experience professions up close and gain insights into local industrial companies. With exciting guided tours, interactive experience stations and hands-on workshops, 48 companies invited young people to join in, ask questions and help shape the future.
A look behind the scenes of the future
The Messe und Congress Center Basel opened its doors at MesseQuartier and presented itself as a multifaceted place to work and experience: together with 11 partner companies such as the hotels at MQ Dosim, Selmoni and Winkler, we showed how exciting, versatile and relevant to the future industry is today. The Messe und Congress Center Basel invited visitors to an evening behind the scenes of the event world – where major events, trade fairs and congresses are planned, set up and brought to life. Attendees were given an insight into logistics and recycling processes, event technology, building management and much more. They were also able to experience the construction of the Eurovision Village at first hand with a behind-the-scenes tour.
Perspectives for the next generation
As a participating company, we are particularly pleased that the MesseQuartier Basel was once again perceived as a place of encounter, education and future technology. The event strengthened the image of Basel as a modern, innovative economic region with heart and vision.
